This was included with the japanese-only Premium Edition of .hack//G.U. Last Recode! The events of it start shortly after Returner leading right up to the very start of G.U. Vol.4: Reconnection.
The first bit goes over Zelkova sealing Skeith away, thus returning Haseo's PC to a regular one. Next one goes into Haseo and Pi meeting in real life and discussing a job at NAB. Part three takes place some amount of time after Haseo's gotten said job and how he and Atoli are dealing with his lack of free time.
Next up is CC Corp. announcing how R:2 is going to be shutdown for good in 6 months. The real meaty part comes after, in which various AIDA have a lengthy discussion about the end of "The World" and existing with humans. And the very ending scenes start just prior to Vol.4's opening, go into said opening, and of course leave off with Yata being all mysterious much like at the end of G.U. Trilogy!
The whole AIDA part leaves us with a lingering tease, because of course a series on life support needs even more of those! Outside of that however, this bit of drama works well as a lead-in to Vol.4 making it worth a watch or read!
