.hack//SIGN "ghost" hunt.
In this game "ghosts" of the .hack//SIGN characters can be found roaming the Root Town of each of the games four servers. You'll have to look closely because they are see-through from afar and don't stand out much until you're up close. Speak to them and they'll shower you with great items and a new wallpaper which will fill in as you finish speaking to each of them.
If a character is listed as appearing in the same server twice in a row, you'll have to either log out or go to another server and and then return for the next to appear. The first five items each character gives you are as follows:
Healing Elixer: Restore HP to the maximum.
Emporer's Soul: Restore SP to the maximum.
Noble Wine: Restore HP and SP to the maximum.
Energy Sutras: +10 to maximum HP.
Spirit Sutras: +5 to maximum SP.
The sixth item given is listed next to the characters name. This quest can be started and completed at the very beginning of the game in under an hour provided you know where each one is located. It can also be started & completed at any point in the game, even after you've finished the story, so there's really no way to miss out. Starting things off is.....
