After raising your first Grunty it will give you the key item Grunty Flute! It allows you call them for a ride throughout fields. In this game and the ones which follow, you choose which one you want to call. While riding one Magic Portals won't open and roaming monsters can't attack you! This makes it quick and easy if you just want to head straight for the dungeon. Aside from that they also have some decent items to trade for.
Aside from that though, if you raise one of each type in a server you can enter a "Flag Race"! Where great prizes await! A new Grunty feature is that if you push the triangle button while riding one in a field, your Grunty will search out either magic portals, the dungeon entrance, or Grunty food!

The best Grunty to use here is Iron. While his handling isn't the greatest, this server doesn't have much room for manuvering anyway so abuse this badboys speed! With that said however, Poison can also take 1st Place. I'd suggest racking up some 1st / 2nd Place prizes with it first before switching to Iron. The goal at the very least is to collect all 3 Golden & Silver Gruntys. The flag order should be: Green -> Red -> Purple.

Bony's the one you want here. The best advice I can give is to "slide" by turning around just before hitting a flag so you'll be ready to move on to the next one right away. I haven't been able to achieve 1st Place with Snakey, but again the idea is to get as many of the main prizes as possible and it can easily achieve 2nd Place times. The flag order should be: Purple -> Red -> Green.

There's a lot of ground to cover and yet those top times are even shorter than the previous servers were! While you can certainly win with speed (Milky Grunty) the preferable choice here in Aqua for her good handling as you don't need to be sliding here. For this race in order to take 1st Place you'll want to turn the camera as opposed to your grunty. Nicking the very edge of the first two flags is key. Basically you don't wanna see yourself touch the flag, just already be on course for the next. The flag order should be: Red -> Purple -> Green.

Incredibly short times are a perfect fit for the smallest town! Despite Wooden Grunty being old he's definitely the choice for these races. Infact you may win a little to easily with him which could make for some difficulty getting repeat prizes. Saving the game before giving these a go is a good idea even moreso than with other servers. My best time is 00:08:03, which is still a real narrow timeframe. Its not easy to do, but like with the other servers the idea here is to purposefully not get 1st Place. Squeeze in at last two 2nd Places and make sure your 1st Place is only just slightly ahead of the default one. The flag order should be: Red -> Green -> Purple.

- Where's the food? -
Talking to the gruntys nets you some hints as to where the food they want can be found. Once they grow from little to kid the hints become much clearer. There were a few foods I haven't been able to get the little gruntys to ask for, so their version of the hints are sadly blank for now!
