The first part of this movie lasts for about 37 minutes and pretty closely follows the major story events of .hack//G.U. Vol.1: Rebirth. That said, a lot has changed. Most major and minor characters don't make an appearance. Haseo loses at the arena and doesn't awaken his avatar until much later in the chapter. No mention of Canard, job extension quest, etc. You'll need to play the game to get the full story! Then again this is an alternate take on the saga afterall so you should expect things to be different, especially going into part two...
